Keeping Secrets published in 2020 was inspired by Wendy’s family members who developed dementia in later life and needed specialist care.   The spy thriller is set in Shady Fields; a residential home for retired secret agents.  The residents include a technical boffin, a femme fatale and a diplomat (who periodically thinks he is Lord Lucan) who discover how secrets from decades ago can still have impact on events today.  It is a ripping, modern yarn with an underlying message; The label is not the person battling the condition.
